Good to know

We've spent the last year remodelling our home, with a bohemian yet, modern style. You can relax in the spacious rooms, sit in the hanging chair of the living room, and bask in the hammock all day long. Our newly polished concrete floors will keep you cool in the summer, and you'll want to bring some indoor slippers during the winter. NEWLY ADDED, is our 6 person hot tub. This hot tub is a little ways out into the yard, so you can enjoy that milky way and thousands of stars. Our unheated cocktail dipping pool, is mainly to soak in during the hot summer months. Although some may want to cold plunge anytime. Outdoors, we have a fire pit if you would like to make s'mores or get that campfire smell going. Just be very vigilant and careful, as we are in the desert. There are some seasons where there may be a fire ban, but we'll keep you posted on that.

Other Details to Note

Please be careful of cacti and critter holes out in the yard. The walk can be a little unbalancing. The cocktail pool is 14ft in diameter, and 4.5 ft deep, as well as unheated with no option to heat. This is mainly a summer feature. Our newly added hot tub is ready for the winter season of soaking and gazing at the stars. Please enter at YOUR OWN RISK, and take care as you would around any body of water.

Neighborhood

Welcome to our place. We want you, our property and all the critters out here to feel comfortable. Our landscape is filled with a variety of “poky things”, please tread at your own risk. The Joshua Trees on the 2.5 acres are especially poky and protected by law. Please be respectful of them. Careful of holes in the desert terrain as you walk around as well, there are lots of critters busy at work with their underground labyrinth. On the property you are likely to see Cottontail rabbits, Jack rabbits, Quail, Coyotes, Roadrunners, Kangaroo Mice, Pocket Mice, Squirrels, and a variety of more common birds. Please let them be. Be careful of rattlesnakes, and black widow spiders. These do exist out here. Unlikely, you’ll see a snake in the colder times of the year. Our property is nestled between a hillside and a few homes which are a good distance away. Everyone comes out to enjoy the serenity of the desert, so you will rarely hear people yet they are around. Please be mindful that sound travels here in the desert. The stars and the moon are BRIGHT out here. You can see the Milky Way and in August, you've likely to see meteor showers — we have over the last 2 years.

Guests are free to roam the entire property.. We have our desert vehicle parked on the property, in case you wonder why there is a vehicle on the property when you arrive.

Every thing was beautiful. The peace a quiet was exactly what I was looking for. The house was pristine beautifully, put together the little extra touches like seasonings exactly where to find towels and the games. I was very, very happy.

Loved our quick midweek stay! Wish we stayed longer. The house was very peaceful, perfectly set up for meals at home, and pretty easy to find in the dark when we arrived. Would definitely recommend or book again.

Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles. Once you drive past the gate, and up the driveway, you will see that you can stop your vehicle once you've reached the house.
