Good to know

This 5 acre property is unfenced to take advantage of the sweeping views. There is a hot tub, firepit and outdoor shower as well as a BBQ and outdoor dining area. We're out of town, so there's tons of stars and peace and quiet. True indoor/outdoor living.

No pets please. The property is made for 2 adults (queen bed), but we also allow one child (sleeper sofa).

We had a beautiful stay. The apartment itself is really nice inside and out - you can tell a lot of attention to detail has gone into Christopher’s place. The location is quiet and off the beaten track, great for a peaceful retreat.

What a beautiful, peaceful and healing place to be. You can tell this is special place is well loved and cared for, not a soulless investment property. We can't wait for our next chance to stay here! For the pianists: you're playing a gorgeous Steinway piano in the middle of the desert. It doesn't get much better than this. The tuning, to my ear, was surprisingly good considering the environment it's in. The host mentioned the difficulty of getting a tuner to travel that far out.

Blue Shadows was a great place to unwind for a couple days while I was checking out Joshua Tree NP. It’s a private getaway with lots of thoughtful and intentional touches. Has everything you need for a quiet remote getaway. Christopher provided lots of good recommendations and was attentive. Definitely recommend this spot for a solo or couple vacation.

I had an amazing stay here! The place was spotless, peaceful, and had beautiful views, especially at night. It was the perfect spot to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and enjoy a relaxing weekend in Joshua Tree. I’d definitely stay here again!
